Adjunct instructor in the Center for English Proficiency (English Bridge Program)
 

The School of Arts and Sciences at the American University in Dubai invites applications for part-time instructors in the English Bridge Program to begin in Fall 2026.

The English Bridge Program is designed to support students in developing academic English proficiency and preparing them for success in university-level coursework.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or English from a Western-accredited university.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching foundation, bridge, or intensive English programs at the tertiary level.
  • Experience in teaching integrated skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) and academic English.
  • Previous teaching experience in a Western higher education system, with high teaching effectiveness ratings.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented academic environment.
 

A successful candidate must provide original academic transcripts upon hire.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of IELTS/TOEFL preparation
  • Experience in the Gulf region
 

The university has morning and afternoon classes. 

These positions are part-time and suit those candidates who are already residents and under sponsorship in Dubai.
