The School of Arts and Sciences at the American University in Dubai is currently accepting applications for part-time Adjunct Instructors in English to begin teaching in Fall 2024.

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or Teaching English as a Second Language from a Western accredited university;                         
• Experience teaching Developmental English Courses                                                                                                                                                                          
• Experience teaching first-year writing courses;
• Previous teaching experience in a Western higher education system preferred, with high ratings of teaching effectiveness;
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills; and
• An ability to work collegially within a team of faculty members.

Successful candidates will need to provide original academic transcripts.

The university has flexible timings, including morning, afternoon, and evening classes. These positions are part-time and suit those candidates who are already residents and under sponsorship in Dubai.
